Burdwan District Mahatma Gandhi Seva SadanAmbedkar Jayanti
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was one of the best jurists in Indian history and a great social reformer. He himself was a child of a Dalit family. And since then he has fought a lot for the Dalits and other backward sections of our society. We are always following the path he showed us. To pay our deepest respects to him, every year on his birthday on the 14th of April, we celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti in our organization.
Independence Day
We are proud to be Indians. Independence or freedom is our fundamental right. Every year on independence day we organize a cultural program about the day. It’s the day for which our freedom fighters fought against the British and lost their lives for us and for our freedom. We celebrate this day not only to express our happiness about our independence but also we remember our heroes and their sacrifices.
World Health Day
Every year we organize a medical camp for the local people and villagers. In rural areas, there is a lack of education as well as medical health examination centers or emergency medical services. Every year on the 7th of April World Health Day we organized a medical camp for those people and villagers.
