It started as a charitable trust, now we are doing much more social welfare work for Dalit children and women. We have started skills development, education for children and adults, farmer training, livelihood development, and much more. Burdwan District Mahatma Gandhi Seva Sadan is a non-profit charitable trust, our sole goal is to create a society where no one is hungry, tribals are independent, and work on their own. Burdwan District Mahatma Gandhi Seva Sadan is also working in the field of agriculture with proper training of farmers. We are working for the advancement of tribal women
and for these human rights. We support small and medium enterprises by supporting them. Burdwan District Mahatma Gandhi Seva Sadan believes that nature is man’s greatest friend. So we are fighting for the environment and nature. Our vision is to build our organization into one of the best charitable trusts in India.
BDMGSS works for a society that is equitable, participatory, and sustainable, with equality free from exploitation and discrimination where individuals and groups have the ability to control their own lives with interdependence consistent with nature.
Promotes BDMGSS and its activities by organizing the disadvantaged, the helpless, and the poor and facilitating self-reliance to improve the society, especially to enable them to access and control their natural resources.
